Which area should you choose?

  • First visit, 3–4 nights: My Khe Beach around An Thuong. You can walk to the beach in the morning and to dinner at night, and the city centre is a 10-minute ride.
  • On a budget: the city centre near the Han River has the most rooms under $30 a night, close to Han Market and Con Market.
  • With children: a resort at Non Nuoc gives you pools, kids clubs and a quieter beach. Marble Mountains and Hoi An are both close.
  • Honeymoon or a special trip: Son Tra and the southern resorts are the most private.
  • A month or longer: serviced apartments in An Thuong and along the beach road, with cafes and gyms nearby.

Many travellers split the trip: a few nights on the beach in Da Nang, then a few in Hoi An. A private car between the two is $18 per car.
