Da Nang has a lot of beautiful hotel pools. It has surprisingly few rooftop ones — and most guides, including an earlier version of this page, confuse the two. A ground-level infinity pool at a low-rise beach resort is not a rooftop pool, however good the photograph looks.
Corrected August 2026. This page previously listed Hyatt Regency, InterContinental Sun Peninsula and Pullman as rooftop-pool hotels. All three are low-rise beach resorts whose pools sit at ground level — we checked each brand’s own site. Novotel Danang Premier Han River has a famous rooftop bar (Sky36) but its pool is on the podium, not the roof. Those four have been removed, and the two genuine rooftop pools this page had missed have been added.
The rooftop pools we could actually verify
Wyndham Danang Golden Bay — 29th floor, and the one everyone photographs
The highest verified hotel pool in the city. Wyndham’s own page describes a 29th-floor pool “covered in 24K gold tiles” — which sounds like marketing until you see it catch the late light over the Hàn River. This is the one that put Da Nang rooftop pools on Instagram in the first place.
HAIAN Beach Hotel & Spa — 22nd floor, facing the sea
278 Vo Nguyen Giap, Da Nang · Open in Google Maps
The hotel’s own site is unusually specific: “Large infinity pool… Location: 22nd Floor”. Because HAIAN sits on Võ Nguyên Giáp rather than the river, the view is straight out over My Khe rather than back at the city — a different and, for most people, better trade.
Hilton Garden Inn Da Nang — rooftop, floor not published
Hilton describes a “rooftop outdoor pool area with sun loungers” but does not publish the floor. Smaller and less of an event than the other two, and priced accordingly.
The one we could not confirm
À La Carte Da Nang Beach. Its own site advertises a sea-view infinity pool and separately places The Top Bar on floor 24 and the gym on 23 — but it never states which floor the pool is on. It is very likely an upper-floor pool. We are not listing it as verified until the hotel says so. Ask at booking.

Why the big beach resorts are not on this list
Hyatt Regency, InterContinental Sun Peninsula, Pullman and Furama are all low-rise, spread horizontally along the sand. Their pools are excellent and they are at ground level, because that is the point of a beach resort: you walk from the water to the sea. If what you want is a pool in the sky, you want a tower hotel in the city, and that is a different holiday.

Key Features to Look For
When selecting a hotel with a rooftop pool, consider these essential features for an optimal experience.
The right amenities can significantly enhance your relaxation and enjoyment during your stay.
- Infinity Edge Pools: These create a seamless visual effect, blending the pool with the horizon.
- Poolside Bars/Restaurants: Enjoy refreshing drinks and light meals without leaving the pool area.
- Comfortable Loungers and Cabanas: Ample seating and shaded areas for ultimate comfort.
- Heated or Temperature-Controlled Water: Ensures a pleasant swimming experience regardless of the weather.
- Stunning Panoramic Views: Prioritize hotels offering unobstructed views of the ocean, mountains, or city.
- Adults-Only Sections: For a quieter, more tranquil swimming experience.

Planning Your Visit: Tips and Considerations
Maximizing your rooftop pool experience in Da Nang requires a bit of strategic planning.
Here are some key tips to ensure a smooth and enjoyable visit to these elevated sanctuaries.
Best Time to Visit
The ideal time to enjoy Da Nang’s rooftop pools is during the dry season.
This period offers sunny days and pleasant evenings, perfect for swimming and lounging.
- Dry Season (February to August): Characterized by warm temperatures and low humidity.
- Peak Season (June to August): Hottest months, ideal for swimming, but can be crowded.
- Shoulder Seasons (February-May, September-October): Pleasant weather with fewer crowds.
Booking and Reservations
Securing your preferred room and access to the rooftop pool often requires advance booking.
Understanding booking strategies can help you get the best experience and value.
Important: Always check the hotel’s specific policies regarding rooftop pool access for in-house guests versus day visitors, as availability can vary. Booking a room with a sea view or a higher floor may also offer closer proximity or better vistas from your accommodation.
What to Pack
Ensure you have the essentials for a comfortable and enjoyable time by the pool.
Packing smart means you’re always prepared for sun, relaxation, and a refreshing dip.
- Swimwear
- Sunscreen (high SPF)
- Sunglasses
- A wide-brimmed hat or cap
- Light, quick-drying cover-ups
- A good book or e-reader
- Waterproof phone case

The dry season, from February to August, offers the best weather for enjoying rooftop pools, with warm temperatures and plenty of sunshine.

Is there a beach hotel in Da Nang with a rooftop pool?
Not in the way most people picture it. The big beachfront resorts — Hyatt Regency, InterContinental Sun Peninsula, Pullman and Furama — are low-rise buildings spread along the sand, so their pools sit at ground level by design. The rooftop pools we could verify are on tower hotels in the city, a taxi ride from the beach rather than on it. So it is a trade-off: a pool in the sky in the city, or beach access with a ground-level pool.
Conclusion
Da Nang’s rooftop pools offer a unique and luxurious way to experience the city’s beauty and vibrant atmosphere.
Whether you’re seeking a tranquil escape or a lively social hub, the diverse range of hotels ensures there’s a perfect rooftop retreat for every traveler in 2026.
