Hiring a car with a driver by the hour is the simplest way to see Da Nang without haggling with taxis between every stop. You choose the places, the driver waits while you visit, and the price stays the same whether you make three stops or eight.

Prices are per car and come from our Da Nang airport transfer and private car price list. A 5-seat car takes up to 3 guests, a 7-seat car up to 5 guests. A group of 5 adults with a baby should book the 7-seat car.

A 6-hour Da Nang city tour by private car
This is the route most of our guests choose for a first day. Start at 8:00 to beat the heat and the tour buses.
Son Tra Peninsula and Linh Ung Pagoda (about 1h30). The 67 m Lady Buddha looks over Da Nang Bay. Entry to the pagoda is free; cover shoulders and knees. On the way back the driver can stop at a viewpoint over the city.
Marble Mountains (about 1h30). Walk up Thuy Son mountain to the caves and pagodas, or take the lift. Entry is about 40,000 VND and the lift about 15,000 VND one way; the site is open roughly 7:00–17:30 (checked November 2026, confirm at the gate). Wear shoes with grip.
Lunch near My Khe Beach (about 1 hour). Tell your driver what you like. Mi Quang and banh xeo places are a few minutes from the beach.
Dragon Bridge and Han Market (about 1 hour). Photos by the river, then the market for coffee beans, dried fruit and tailoring. The driver drops you at the door and waits nearby.
You are back at your hotel by about 14:00, before the afternoon storms that are common from September to December.
A 10-hour day with a driver in Da Nang
Ten hours lets you combine the city with one bigger stop. Three plans that work well:

City + evening: start at 11:00, see Son Tra and Marble Mountains, have dinner by the river and stay for the Dragon Bridge fire and water show, which usually starts at 21:00 on Saturday and Sunday nights (checked November 2026).
Slow day with kids: beach in the morning, a long lunch, a short pagoda visit and back to the hotel for a nap, with the car on call all day.
