Da Nang with Kids: Best Family Days Out, Where to Stay and Getting Around

11/2/2026

Water park pool and slides at VinWonders Nam Hoi An

Short answer: Da Nang is one of the easiest places in Vietnam to travel with children: a long, clean city beach, short drives, big family resorts and three theme and water parks within an hour. The best family days out are Ba Na Hills, VinWonders Nam Hoi An, Mikazuki and the Nui Than Tai hot springs, plus the beach and Hoi An in the evening. Grab rarely has child seats, so book a private car with a free child seat for the airport and day trips.

Getting around with children

  • From the airport: a private car with a child seat is $8 to city hotels and $18 to Hoi An. Read Da Nang car with a child seat.
  • Which car: a 5-seat car for 2 adults and 1 child, a 7-seat car for 2 children or a pram, and a 16-seat van when two families travel together.
  • Short rides: Grab is fine for a 10-minute hop if your child is old enough to sit without a seat.
  • Night flights: see arriving at Da Nang Airport at night.

Where to stay with kids

Most families choose a resort at Non Nuoc near Marble Mountains, with pools and kids clubs, or a hotel near My Khe Beach for easy beach mornings. See family resorts with kids clubs and where to stay in Da Nang.

Eating with kids

Children usually like banh xeo (crispy pancakes), fried spring rolls, chicken rice and fresh fruit smoothies. Most restaurants near the beach have high chairs or can bring one. See our Da Nang food guide.

A 4-day family plan

  • Day 1: arrive, beach and pool, Dragon Bridge show if it is Saturday or Sunday (21:00).
  • Day 2: Ba Na Hills, leaving at 7:30 to be there at opening.
  • Day 3: beach morning, Hoi An in the afternoon with a basket boat ride and lanterns.
  • Day 4: VinWonders or Mikazuki, depending on your children's ages.
