Short answer: Grab and street taxis in Da Nang rarely have child seats. If you travel with a baby or young child, book a private car and ask for a child seat: it is free, fitted before pick-up, and the price stays the same, from $8 per car from the airport to a city hotel and $18 to Hoi An. Child seats in Da Nang: what to know
- Most Grab cars and taxis have no child seat, and you cannot request one in the app.
- Our cars have child seats for babies and toddlers. Tell us the child's age and weight when you book.
- The seat is free and ready in the car when the driver arrives.
- You can also bring your own seat; the driver will help you fit it.

Tips for travelling with kids
- Bottled water, wet wipes and Wi-Fi are in every car, which helps on longer drives to Ba Na Hills or Hoi An.
- Your pram, beach bags and shopping can stay in the car all day on a day trip.
- For days out, plan around naps: Ba Na Hills and VinWonders are best in the morning, Hoi An in the late afternoon.
- On a day trip you can ask the driver to stop for a toilet break or snacks. Short stops on airport transfers are $4 under 30 minutes.

What the price includes
- One price per car: a 5-seat car takes up to 3 guests with luggage, a 7-seat car up to 5 and a 16-seat van up to 12.
- Fuel, tolls and parking.
- Free child seats on request, plus bottled water, wet wipes and Wi-Fi in the car.
- No deposit: pay the driver at the end, in cash (VND or USD) or by bank transfer.
- If your driver is more than 15 minutes late, the ride is free.
