A Han River cruise in Da Nang is an evening sightseeing option for illuminated bridges and the city skyline. Choose the actual boat, departure and package before comparing prices: boarding points, duration, food and entertainment vary. If the Dragon Bridge show is your priority, ask for a sailing that explicitly covers it. A generic evening ticket does not guarantee a show view.
Plan the rest of your stay with our Da Nang travel guide. This article concerns the Han River in Da Nang, not the Perfume River in Hue.

Choose sightseeing, dinner or an event sailing
| Product | Best reason to choose it | What needs checking |
|---|---|---|
| Sightseeing cruise | You mainly want skyline and bridge views | Route, time on the water, seating and drinks |
| Dinner cruise | You want the meal and boat outing together | Menu, dietary needs, dining location and whether the boat moves during dinner |
| Special-event sailing | You are booking for a named performance or fireworks date | Event date, permitted viewing area, seat category and cancellation conditions |
Do not assume fruit, bottled water, dance performances, karaoke or air conditioning are standard across the river. Ask for the inclusions of the exact sailing. Equally, a “luxury” label does not establish that a boat will be quiet or uncrowded. Check the atmosphere if you want a calm evening or are travelling with a noise-sensitive child.
Prices and duration: a checked example, not a universal tariff
At the time of this update, the 4U Danang Yacht operator website displays regular individual sightseeing rates of 150,000–170,000 VND per adult for 60 minutes and 80,000–100,000 VND per child for 60 minutes. The page does not establish the child eligibility conditions for every sailing, so confirm those before booking.
These are one operator’s displayed figures, not a guaranteed price for your date or evidence that 4U is the cheapest option. The same website contains separate event offers with very different prices. Obtain a dated quote showing the boat name, passenger category, route, duration and included services. We have not confirmed current dinner prices or a complete tariff for other operators.
Compare the whole purchase: transport to the correct dock, the cruise ticket, meals or drinks and any reservation charge. Avoid converting prices into a fixed foreign-currency amount unless you use the exchange rate available when paying.
Dragon Bridge show: select the sailing carefully
Da Nang’s official tourism notice lists the regular fire-and-water performance at 21:00 on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and major holidays. Check for date-specific changes. Ask the cruise operator whether your chosen departure will still be on the river at that time and whether its route includes a suitable viewing position.
A 20:00 or 20:30 departure time alone proves neither of those points. The boat may have a different route or duration, and its position may be affected by river controls. For watching from land, see our Dragon Bridge show guide.
Fireworks packages are separate from the regular Dragon Bridge performance. The 2026 summer dates advertised on the 4U page have already passed as of this October update. Do not buy against an old poster; require the confirmed date and terms for any future event sailing.

Find your actual boarding point
There is no single address that should be assumed for every Han River cruise. For example, 4U’s current website identifies Song Thu tourist-boat wharf near Tran Thi Ly Bridge. That is why an instruction to send every traveller to 34 Bach Dang is unreliable.
Get a map pin and written boarding instructions from the seller or operator. Confirm that the location is the passenger boarding point, not an office, restaurant or ticket agent. Save the boat name, departure time, booking reference and operator contact offline. If the information on a third-party voucher conflicts with the operator’s message, resolve it before leaving your hotel.
Use the operator’s check-in requirement and add a travel buffer for evening traffic. If no check-in time is given, ask rather than assuming arrival at the advertised departure time is sufficient. A late passenger is not guaranteed a place on the next boat.
What you will see and what is not guaranteed
The appeal is the city viewed from the water: reflections, riverfront buildings and bridges along the boat’s actual route. Ask which landmarks the sailing covers. Do not rely on a claim that every cruise passes six bridges or reaches the river mouth.
Deck choice affects your view. A covered seat may offer weather protection, while an open deck may require stairs and expose you to wind or rain. Check whether seating is assigned and whether moving between decks is allowed during the trip. No seat can guarantee an unobstructed photograph at every moment.
Boarding, accessibility and travelling with children
Before booking, ask about the gangway, steps, handrails, toilet access and seating on the same level as boarding. The phrase “family friendly” does not establish wheelchair access. If you use a mobility aid, describe its dimensions and ask the operator to confirm the whole boarding-to-seat route.
Confirm that suitable life jackets are available, including for children, and follow crew instructions on wearing them. Keep children beside you near rails and stairs. Do not board an overcrowded vessel or climb into a restricted deck area to improve a view.
For dinner packages, confirm allergies and dietary requests directly with the operator. Ask whether a child’s ticket includes food and a seat; height- or age-based pricing is not uniform across all providers.
Weather, cancellations and a useful backup plan
Check the local forecast and the operator’s departure confirmation. Wind, rain or river restrictions may change the route or cancel a sailing. Read whether you will receive a refund, credit or another departure if the operator cancels, and distinguish that from your own cancellation terms.
A riverside meal or walk is an easy alternative in ordinary suitable weather if a boat trip does not fit your schedule. During a storm warning, follow local instructions rather than treating an open deck as an indoor backup.

What to bring and simple photography tips
Carry your booking details, a charged phone, a small secure bag and a layer if you tend to feel cold in the breeze. Wear shoes that handle a potentially wet boarding surface. Keep valuables away from the rail.
For night photographs, steady your hands without leaning over the side, avoid flash reflections from windows and allow for boat movement. Do not block stairs or another passenger’s view with a tripod. If you want sunset rather than darkness, check the actual sunset and sailing time for your date; 18:00 is not a universal sunset departure.
Frequently asked questions
How long is a Han River cruise?
It depends on the product. The 4U regular rate displayed when checked is for 60 minutes. Confirm your own sailing rather than applying a standard duration to every boat.
Is dinner included?
Only if the booked package states so. A sightseeing ticket should not be assumed to include a full meal.
Can I see the Dragon Bridge show?
Possibly, with a specifically timed route on a performance night. Ask the operator to confirm this before paying.
Should I book ahead?
Advance booking is useful if a particular departure, seat or meal matters. There is no reliable universal rule that booking a fixed number of days ahead guarantees availability.
